PRELUDES FOR PIANO   1926 Five preludes were premiered by George Gershwin aon 12/4/26; on 1/16/27 at Symphony Hall, Boston, he played six preludes - both times in concerts given with Mme. Marguerite D'Alvarez.  Three preludes were published: 1. Allegro ben ritmato e deciso; II. Andante con moto e poco rubato;  III. Allegro ben ritmato e deciso.  Two other preludes were the basis of Dushkin's transcription, Short Story.  A sixth prelude remains in manuscript form.
